G20 Leaders’ Summit Coming to Cabo Questro CEO’s leadership and strong values of entire team recognizedIn 2012 Mexico chairs the G20 and will host the Leaders’ Summit right here in Los Cabos in June. A brand new Convention and Visitors Center is under construction to house these meetings, which will be attended by finance ministers, central bank governors and leaders from 20 major economies including Mexico, Canada, the United States and the European Union. Congratulations to Club Campestre San Jose, 2012 Copa Questro Champions Over the last few weeks, the three Questro golf courses competed in their inaugural inter-club competition, Copa Questro. The event was a three roundtournament with each Club hosting one round. Each Golf Club fielded a12-person team, consisting of members, caddies and the Pro. Here were the final results of the event: Club Campestre - 81 under par Cabo Real - 78 under par Puerto Los Cabos - 69 under par The event was created to improve the camaraderie among the Golf Clubs and the event was a huge success. Viva México! 200 Años de independencia 2101 marca 200 años de la independencia de México y 100 años desde la revolución que convirtió al país independiente en la democracia que permanece hasta el día de hoy. En todo el país la gente se prepara para las celebraciones del bicentenario que tendrán lugar el 15 y 16 de septiembre, así como celebraciones del centenario que se llevaran a cabo el 20 de Noviembre. En la Ciudad de México, se está construyendo un arco conmemorativo del bicentenario en Avenida Reforma en honor del bicentenario, la monumental escultura de acero y cuarzo del arquitecto Cesar Pérez Becerril será inaugurada el 15 de Septiembre. La Ruta del 2010 es un ambicioso proyecto llevado a cabo en conjunto por la Secretaria de Turismo y la Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes de México. La Ruta 2010 es una serie de seis importantes rutas históricas utilizadas por los revolucionarios en su lucha por la independencia. Dichas rutas están bien identificadas haciéndolas de fácil acceso a los fanáticos de la historia. Se ha instalado una expo bicentenario sobre más de 99 hectáreas en Guanajuato. . Aquí en Los Cabos la agenda para las celebraciones incluye una Exhibición Colectiva titulada “México Libre” presentando pinturas que representan la esencia de los 200 años de México como una nación libre. La exhibición se presentara en Puerto Paraíso durante el mes de Septiembre. El 11 de Septiembre en el Teatro de la Ciudad de San Jose del Cabo se presentara un musical llamado “Un paseo por México” el cual mostrara los ritmos de diferentes regiones del País. Bailes folclóricos, presentaciones de la Orquesta Juvenil de Los Cabos, El Grito y el Gran Concierto de Gala con los tres Tenores Mexicanos Humberto Cravioto, Alberto Ángel y Valente Pastor; son entre otras lo más importantes presentaciones. Los beneficiarios que calificaron, mostraron una promesa académica con promedios altos junto con una necesidad económica. Los estudiantes también recibieron útiles escolares y uniformes y el compromiso de apoyo continuo. La Fundación Questro, también está planeando un Festival para Celebrar los Valores este domingo 5 de septiembre, a las 6 pm en la Plaza Leon Cota Collins en Cabo San Lucas. El evento contará con música en vivo, un desfile de modas y una presentación sobre la importancia de los valores en la comunidad.
